RUSSIAN fighter jets have bombed Snake Island in a determined bid to destroy navy gear left behind by their retreating troops.

The strategic island within the Black Sea was seized by Putin’s military on the very begin of the struggle and has since been the main target of repeated Ukrainian assaults.
