Putin’s ‘Lady Death’ is first female colonel killed in Ukraine as rocket attack hits car

The Russian strongman granted Olga “Kursa” Kachura, 52, ‘Hero of Russia’ honour – the Kremlin’s highest award – after the 52-year-old was killed in a rocket assault on her automobile. She is the 97th identified colonel to have been killed in Ukraine after Putin’s unlawful invasion of his neighbouring nation.

Olga was killed immediately when a Ukrainian strike hit her automobile, in response to native stories. 

The Kremlin web site revealed the textual content of the presidential decree on Thursday, saying: “Colonel Olga Sergeyevna Kachura has been awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation (posthumously) for braveness and heroism within the efficiency of army obligation.” 

Denis Pushylin, Head of the Donetsk Folks’s Republic, stated of the award: “President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to advertise Colonel Olga Kachura to the posthumous title of Hero of Russia in recognition of her braveness and heroism within the efficiency of her army obligation.

“Her fearless army service deserves to be remembered and handed on to posterity the reminiscence of the Hero of the Donetsk Folks’s Republic, Hero of Russia – Olga Kachura.

Olga was one of many founders of the militia of the Russian puppet state Donetsk Folks’s Republic, the place she was a colonel and commanded a rocket artillery division deployed towards Ukraine.

Horlivka’s Mayor Ivan Prikhodko confirmed her demise on his official Telegram, as he paid tribute to a “courageous and smart lady”. 

He stated: “At the moment is a black day for Horlivka and the republic. A courageous and smart lady who stood on the origins of the Folks’s Militia of the Donetsk Folks’s Republic tragically died.

“Kachura Olga Sergeevna, the victorious and unwavering Korsa.

“Guards Colonel, commander of the rocket artillery division, Honorary Citizen of Horlivka – all these titles and titles, individuals’s love and respect of her fellow servicemen are solely a small a part of her deserves.

“On behalf of all of the individuals of Horlivka, I lengthen my honest condolences to Olga’s household and to everybody who knew and liked her. It’s an irreplaceable loss for all of us.
