Zomato has announced its Pro Plus membership. The membership will be invite-only and initially, it will be rolled out to a limited number of Zomato Pro users.
As a part of Pro Plus membership, the company will be offering unlimited free deliveries without any additional surcharge or distance fee alongside all the regular Pro benefits like faster delivery, additional discounts on delivery and dine-in and more.
As already mentioned, the Zomato Pro Plus is invite-only. The feature will start rolling out starting 6 PM today to select users. People can open the Zomato app to check whether they have been invited or not after the given time.
Deepinder Goyal, the founder of Zomato took Twitter to make the announcement and in the tweet he has mentioned that this is one of the most asked features from users.
The tweet reads, “We have 1.8mn Zomato Pro members as of today. And one of the most requested features from our customers has been “Unlimited Free Deliveries” (something like Amazon Prime). So… in a few hours, we are launching our Limited Edition *Pro Plus* membership for select customers…”.
Goyal has also compared the Zomato Pro Plus to Amazon Prime membership which basically offers free and faster delivery benefits to Amazon users.
The pricing details of the Zomato Pro Plus membership has not been announced yet. The Zomato Pro membership costs Rs 200 for 90 days. We can assume that the Pro Plus will cost slightly more than the regular Pro membership plans.
How to check if you’ve been invited for Zomato Pro Plus membership
To check this, open your Zomato app and tap on the Pro option at the bottom of the screen. Here you will be able to see the invite after 6 PM today.
