Telegram back online after suffering brief outage – Eagles Vine

If you were unable to send or receive messages on Telegram then note that the messaging app suffered a partial downtime. The company confirmed the same on Twitter and said that some of “the users, primarily in Europe and the Middle East are currently experiencing connection issues.” The good news is that the company got back every userback online within a couple of hours. Telegram hasn’t revealed the exact cause for the outage.
“And now everyone affected should be back online. Note that you might experience some lingering effects like not all messages being visible – these will go away on their own very soon. No need to do anything on your end,” said the company on Twitter.
Telegram is the latest to face an internet outage after Google services like YouTube, GMail,etc were recently hit.

In another news, Telegram is reportedly adding a new feature that will come in handy for iPhone users. As per reports, the latest beta version of the app supports Apple’s Announce Messages with Siri feature on AirPods.The beta testers of the app will be able to see and enable this feature through the Settings of the app. Under the Settings menu, they will be able to see Notifications, where they will find the option named ‘Announce Messages With Siri.’
This feature will allow users to listen to their incoming messages on Telegram through Siri as it will be able to read it out loud when an iOS user is wearing them, even if their device is locked.
