Foldable phones are still a relatively new concept, but Samsung is hoping that these latest models will help to make this clever idea more mainstream. One of the biggest concerns surrounding these devices is their ability to survive life on the road.
The original Fold was criticised for being far too fragile with Samsung delaying the release due to a number of reviewers breaking their devices ahead of the 2019 launch. The 2021 range now gets a tougher Armor Aluminium body and new Gorilla Glass Victus, which Samsung says makes them 80 percent more durable than before.
There’s also that new IPX8 rating which basically means the devices should survive a dip in the local pool without becoming waterlogged.
