OnePlus Nord 2 5G launch date announced: Expected price, specs and more – Eagles Vine

Within a month of launching the OnePlus Nord CE, the brand has now announced the launch dates of its next smartphone– OnePlus Nord 2 5G. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has said that the OnePlus Nord 2 5G smartphone will launch in India and Europe on July 22, 2021. The new OnePlus Nord 2 5G will be the successor to the original Nord that was launched last year while the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will continue to be available.
OnePlus Nord 2 5G expected price in India
The OnePlus Nord CE 5G comes in three variants that are spread across the price points of Rs 22,999, Rs 24,999 and Rs 27,999. Given the fact that the Nord CE 5G is a “stripped-down” variant of the original Nord and just focusing on providing the “core experience”, the upcoming Nord 2 CE is expected to be priced higher. If reports are to be believed, the new OnePlus Nord 2 5G may start at Rs 29,999. There may be three RAM + storage variants of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G covering price points of up to Rs 36,000.
Having said that, there is no official word on the pricing yet and you may expect to see some surprises later.
OnePlus Nord 2 5G likely specifications
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G will be powered by a MediaTek processor Dimensity 1200 chipset. It will be the first OnePlus smartphone to not come with a Qualcomm chipset. The newly launched OnePlus Nord CE 5G runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G SoC.
The new OnePlus Nord 2 5G is expected to come in at least three RAM and storage combinations including 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM options while storage ranging between 128GB and 256GB.
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G is expected to come with the same display found in the Nord CE 5G– a 6.43-inch AMOLED punch hole display with a selfie camera on the top left corner. Of course, it will be a 90Hz refresh rate panel with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and Full HD+ resolution. There will be an in-display fingerprint sensor and the selfie camera may include a 32MP sensor.
As far as the camera is concerned, the OnePlus Nord 2 5G is expected to feature a triple camera setup at the back with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor along with 8MP and 2MP secondary sensors.
Other features are expected to be similar to the OnePlus Nord CE 5G. The device will run OxygenOS based on Android 11 operating system and may be backed by a 4,500mAh battery with OnePlus WarpCharge 30T Plus fast charging with an output of 30W.
