Google One subscription plans may get get cheaper for these users – Eagles Vine

Google has reportedly announced a 50% price cut for users who require Google One storage plans of above 10TB. The starting price for the 10TB plan is now $49.99 monthly instead of $99.99. Having said that Google hasn’t announced any changes in the pricing for users in India. For regular users, who are opting for plans like 100GB, 200GB and 2TB, there are no discounts.
“If you’re already on a qualifying plan, you’ll start seeing savings automatically,” Google was quoted in a report by 9to5Google.
Google One plans up to 2TB can be paid both monthly and yearly. However, plans above 10TB can only be opted as a monthly subscription. Google will provide dedicated customer care along with family sharing and VPN service for Android devices.
Google recently announced that it is ending unlimited storage for Google Photos. While there’s no rush to move to another platform as the change will come into effect from June 2021. This is the reason why having a Google One subscription has become a talking point suddenly. The good news is that you need worry about old images that are backed up in Google Photos. Only those photos that will be backed up after June 2021 will count towards your free 15GB storage quota.
Google One offers 100GB storage for a year at Rs 1300, 200GB storage for a year at Rs 2100 and 2TB storage for a year at Rs 6500.
