Donald Trump will never be allowed to come back on Twitter – Eagles Vine

It’s been over a month now since former US president Donald Trump was banned from Twitter. And it looks like there’s no way back for Trump on his ‘favourite’ social media platform. In an interview with CNBC, the company’s chief financial officer made it clear that Trump is gone for good from Twitter. “When you’re removed from the platform, you’re removed from the platform,” Ned Segal, CFO, Twitter told CNBC.
Segal further said that Twitter policies are designed in such a way that people can’t incite violence. “Our policies are designed to make sure that people are not inciting violence,” Segal said.
The CFO of Twitter said that it doesn’t matter if Trump wants to come back in public life again or not as Twitter won’t allow him to use the platform. “He was removed when he was president and there’d be no difference for anybody who’s a public official once they’ve been removed from the service,” explained Segal.
Twitter had banned Trump after the Capitol riot on January 6 in Washington. “After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence,” Twitter had said in a blog post.
Meanwhile, Facebook continues to keep Trump away “indefinitely” from its social media platforms. However, it’s not sure whether it’s a permanent ban or not. Facebook has an Oversight Board which is expected to reveal whether Trump’s ban is permanent or not in the next few months after reviewing the case.
