WWE world reacts to Triple H’s heart scare

Paul Levesque, better known to the wrestling universe as Triple H, is receiving a lot of love from his colleagues after WWE announced on Wednesday that he had a “cardiac event.”

“Paul Levesque, a.k.a. Triple H, underwent a successful procedure last week at Yale New Haven Hospital following a cardiac event. The episode was caused by a genetic heart issue and Paul is expected to make a full recovery,” WWE said in a statement.

Here is a sampling of some of the reactions from people in the wrestling business, many of whom’s careers ascended through his tutelage in NXT:

Triple H, 52, has been a fixture in WWE since 1995. He is a 14-time world champion, and has taken part in countless memorable matches and angles. Married to Stephanie McMahon, he is a member of WWE’s executive ranks, and stewarded the company’s developmental promotion NXT to great acclaim.
