Tamil Nadu cricketer Shahrukh Khan earned a well-deserved Rs 5.25 crore IPL contract in the auctions on Thursday and his skipper Dinesh Karthik shared a heart-warming video in which the youngster’s team-mates could be seen celebrating his success.

Karthik shared a video in which Shahrukh Khan could be seen following the auction as the players were traveling in the team bus and suddenly everyone bursts out into a dance as the batsman earns big in the auction.

Punjab Kings bought the batsman for Rs 5.25 crore at the auction in Chennai on Thursday after a bidding war in which they had to beat the Rajasthan Royals.

KL Rahul’s team are certainly in the need of a big-hitter in the middle-order and have shown confidence in the uncapped Tamil Nadu batsman, known for his power-hitting ability.

Shahrukh Khan is a 25-year-old batsman who comes from Chennai. Known for getting those quickfire 30s and 40s in the lower-middle order, Shahrukh Khan made a name for himself in the Tamil Nadu Premier League.

Shahrukh made his T20 debut at the age of 18 for Tamil Nadu in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2018. The promising talent made a fantastic debut as he hit 21 from just 8 balls on his debut against Goa but he played only 4 more matches in the tournament, managing just 31 runs.

Shahrukh made sporadic appearances in the following years for Tamil Nadu but he got a break when he opened the batting at the TNPL along with Abhinav Mukund in 2018.
