Trent Boult has been a key member of the Mumbai Indians squad for a while now and took 25 wickets last season. The opening pair of Boult and Bumrah was lethal for the defending champions and took the most wickets in the powerplay overs.
The five-time champions were by far the best side in IPL 2020 and topped the group during the play-offs. They beat a good Delhi Capitals side comfortably in the final to take yet another IPL title.
The nucleus of the team revolves around their skipper Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard.
They have amazing youngsters in the form of Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, who recently made their T20I debut for India in the series against England and went on to showcase their talent.
The defending champions will start the IPL 2021 season by taking on the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opener of the tournament on April 9.
