When Rishi Kapoor revealed details about his father Raj Kapoor’s love affair with Vyjayanthimala – Eagles Vine

Late Rishi Kapoor, who was known to wear his heart on his sleeve and never mince his words, made many big revelations in his book ‘Khullam Khulla’. In one of the chapters, he also opened up about his father Raj Kapoor’s love affair with yesteryear actress Vyjayanthimala.

Talking about the same in the book, Rishi revealed that his mom had moved into a hotel with the kids due to his father’s affair with the actress. From the hotel, they then shifted for two months into an apartment in Chitrakoot. The late actor added that his father had bought the apartment for his mother and them. According to him, he did all he could to woo her back, but his mother wouldn’t give in until he had ended that chapter of his life.

However, the ‘Sangam’ actress had reportedly denied all stories about the relationship with Raj Kapoor. The veteran actress even claimed that the romance rumours were created for publicity.

Addressing the same, Rishi wrote in his book that he was livid. He wondered how she could be so blasé and pretend that the affair never happened. According to him, she had no right to distort the facts just because Raj Kapoor was no longer around to defend the truth.

Rishi Kapoor left a void in the industry after he passed away in 2020 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

On the work front, he was shooting for ‘Sharmaji Nankeen’ with Juhi Chawla. The makers have now finished shooting the remaining portions of the movie with Paresh Rawal.

He also had the official Hindi remake of ‘The Intern’ with Deepika Padukone. His shoes were recently filled by none other than Amitabh Bachchan.
