Just a day after the star released ‘Mr Perfectly Fine’, Taylor dropped a new single ‘We Were Happy’. The emotional track is yet another heartbreak tune, of the singer reminiscing her happier days with her now ex-lover.
‘I hate those voices telling me I’m not in love anymore/ But they don’t give me choices and that’s what these tears are for/ ‘Cause we were happy, we were happy’ she sings in the emotionally charged bridge.
Shortly after the lyric video dropped on YouTube, fans took to Twitter to share their honest reactions to the track. Going by the tweets, Swifties were left feeling all things emotional with one even asking “Why is We Were Happy so sad?”
It wasn’t too long after that Swifties flooded Twitter with hilarious ‘sad’ memes:

Taylor also released the lyric video of ‘Bye Bye Baby’ (From the vault), another emotional track. ‘You took me home, but you just couldn’t keep me/ Bye, bye baby’ she sings in the track that has lyrics that pack a serious punch.
The songs are said to be among the many that Taylor didn’t release over the years. The song launch comes along with the release of Swift’s ‘Fearless’ (Taylor’s Version) album, which will be her first re-recorded album since her masters were purchased and resold by Scooter Braun.
So far, Taylor has released ‘Mr Perfectly Fine’, ‘You All Over Me’ featuring Maren Morris, one of the six songs from the vault, and ‘Love Story’ (Taylor’s Version), with a new video dedicated to her fans.
‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’ released online today.
