Tabu elated after winning an award for ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, thanks Pooja Hegde for receiving the trophy on her behalf – Eagles Vine

Tabu recently penned a note of gratitude after she bagged an award for the Best Supporting Actress for ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ at a recently held award show.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Tabu shared a picture of Pooja Hegde receiving the trophy on behalf of her on the stage at the award function.

Along with the post, Tabu wrote, ‘Thank you @hegdepooja for going up to receive my award! Thank you @siimawards @geethaarts @trivikramcelluloid and congratulations for sweeping them all. #alavaikuntapuramlo’

No sooner did she share the post, comments flooded in from all directions. Her friends, fans and Bollywood counterparts showered her with congratulatory messages for winning the award. Farah Khan wrote, ‘Congratulations syaaliiii’, Kunal Kemmu commented, ‘Woohoo congratulations’ and Rahul Roy went on to write, ‘If u had told me, I would have flown specially to receive your award for you’, followed by heart emoticons.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Tabu will be reuniting with Vishal Bhardwaj for his next film that will have an OTT release. The actress announced the same on her Instagram.

She wrote, ‘Expect nothing but sheer thrill. Excited to announce my re-uniting with @vishalrbhardwaj for #Khufiya.’ The film will also star Ali Fazal.

Talking about his digital debut with the film and working with Tabu again, the filmmaker told a news portal that Tabu is everyone’s favourite and his most favourite. According to the director, his best work has been with her. As far as this film is concerned, Bhardwaj added that he wrote this character keeping Tabu in mind. Tabu plays the role of the main protagonist who is running the mission.

Apart from this, she is also a part of Anees Bazmee’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ co-starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.
