Now, celebrated singer Sonu Nigam has come forward to help in providing mobile oxygen supplies for Covid-19 patients. He has decided to procure two thousand and twenty-one portable oxygen canisters for on-demand oxygen supply to critical patients when hospital beds or oxygen concentrators can’t be arranged. These oxygen canisters will be installed in several ambulances to provide emergency oxygen to patients.
For this initiative, the singer has joined hands with golfer Krishiv KL Teckchandani. The 19-year-old golfer was recently in the news as he donated his entire prize monies to the blue-collar in the golfing community and also donated blood at a Mumbai hospital.
Announcing the news on Instagram, the singer wrote, “The times are difficult and we need to stand in solidarity to sail through this phase. Let us come forward and hold hands to help in our own capacities and save lives. @krishiv_golfer832 & I would help with certain Oxygen cannisters on-the-go for emergencies, starting in the coming week. Prayers for you and your families!”
The health system throughout the country has failed to keep pace with the growing demand for beds, oxygen and other facilities. With the number of COVID cases soaring, touching a record high each day, the mad rush at hospitals and the scramble for beds has forced many to quit without even making an attempt.
