Shanti Priya, Akshay Kumar’s first co-star to make digital debut – Eagles Vine

Akshay Kumar’s first heroine Shanti Priya, they worked in ‘Saugandh’ (1991) will be seen in a web series titled ‘The Dharavi Bank’. Although not much is known about the web series, the actress will be returning to acting after a gap of six years.

A source close to the actress confirmed the development of Shanti Priya’s digital debut but refused to divulge any details about the show. Shanti Priya has been one of the few Bollywood actresses who has taken multiple breaks from acting, she’s been on a sabbatical about three times and returned to acting but has not restricted herself to films. She has acted in several TV serials like ‘Mata Ki Chowki’ and ‘Dwarkadheesh’.

The actress was in the news last year after she reportedly said that she faced racist comments during the initial days of her career. It’s then that she wanted to quit Bollywood. Shanti Priya who has played Mithun Chakraborty’s leading lady, too has also worked with his son Mahakshay Chakraborty in ‘The Hamilton Palace’.

Last year, there were reports about Shanti Priya being approached for ‘Bigg Boss’. Now it remains to be seen if the audience will get to see her enter the Bigg Boss house this year.
