Shahid Kapoor on 2 years of Kabir Singh: Thank you for making my most broken and flawed character my most successful film – Eagles Vine

To mark 2 years of his blockbuster hit ‘Kabir Singh’, Shahid Kapoor borrowed wifey Mira Rajput’s floral backdrop and went live on Instagram for a Q and A with his fans.

From sending shout outs to ecstatic fans around the globe, the star also spilled secrets from the sets of ‘Kabir Singh’, gave fans a ‘Jersey’ update and even revealed that he is waiting for a dance film to come along.

When asked to share his message to fans on the occasion of the film’s anniversary, Shahid said, “Thank you for making the most broken and flawed character my most successful film.”

When asked for his most “fun memory” from the sets, Kapoor revealed that it was when he and the cast had a snow fight. Calling to mind the day their Mussoorie shoot was cancelled due to heavy snowfall that caused the roads to get blocked, the actor shares, “We couldn’t get to the shooting location, and out of nowhere the crew started a snow fight.”

“Kiara (Advani) was hiding in her hotel as she didn’t want her look to get spoiled. But we found out and went to her room and destroyed it,” he said with a huge smile on his face.

Fans also asked the actor what his wife Mira thought about his role in the film. After joking that she rated him with a thumbs down, he said, “She was very supportive. In fact, she was the one who encouraged me to take up the role and be a part of the movie.”

Shahid is currently awaiting the release of his film ‘Jersey’ that is currently slated for a release this November. Confirming that the release is still on track, he said, “Jersey is ready for its release on the 5th of November, which is the Diwali week. That is pretty much where we are at the moment. We are hoping that theatres will be open by then. We thought which was the latest date we could release the film, and then thought Diwali would be the best idea because it is a family film.”

A fan also asked the star about his plans to bring his fancy footwork to the big screen in a dance film. Admitting that he did see a few scripts, he said “I would love to do a film where I can dance. I read a few scripts but it didn’t click.”

Besides his big-screen ventures, Shahid will soon break into the digital space with an upcoming OTT project.
