Ranbir Kapoor to take the story of Aamir Khan starrer ‘PK’ forward in the sequel – Eagles Vine

We all remember the small cameo appearance that Ranbir Kapoor played in the end scene of Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘PK’ starring Aamir Khan. Now, reports are rife that the Kapoor scion might take the story forward in the upcoming sequel of the hit movie.

Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra reportedly told a news portal that they will make a sequel to ‘PK’ in good time. They had shown Ranbir Kapoor’s character landing on the planet towards the end of the film. So now, Ranbir will be taking the story forward. Vidhu also added that writer Abhijat Joshi has still not written the story and they will make the sequel when he does.

Chopra also went on to say that although he knows that franchisers can be money-spinners, he is driven by powerful stories and not financial gains. He added that if making money was their goal then he would have made six to seven instalments of ‘Munna Bhai’ and two to three editions of ‘PK’.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie starred Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. It also featured late Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt in key roles.

If the sequel stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, this will be second collaboration of Ranbir with Rajkumar Hirani after ‘Sanju’.
