Ram Gopal Verma says he doesn’t have a problem with Karan Johar – Eagles Vine

It seems like Ram Gopal Verma and Karan Johar have buried the hatchet. The two filmmakers would famously spar via Twitter posts and over the years, fans had witnessed some furious exchanges. Well, it all seems to be a thing of the past now. The two seem to have turned their rather frosty relationship into a cordial one. It all started last year when KJo publicly thanked RGV for handing over the title of ‘Bhoot: The Haunted Ship’. The horror film starred Vicky Kaushal and at a press meet, Karan said that in his over two decades in the film industry, he had never seen ‘this kind of generosity’.

In an interview, Verma admitted that he didn’t have a problem with anyone in Bollywood including KJo. The filmmaker said that the two were on cordial terms and that when Karan requested him for ‘Bhoot Returns’ title, the former had no qualms about giving it. Verma added that he was content making his own type of cinema and that he did not have an issue with anyone in the industry.

Back in 2013, RGV had tweeted, “If someone takes off from Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the year’ and makes ‘Teacher of the Year’, it will become the ‘Disaster of the Year’.” Not to be left behind, Karan had said, “‘Disaster of the Year’ is your territory Ramu… no one can ever replace the comfortable place you have made for yourself there.”
