Piers Morgan’s son Spencer jibes dad over GMB exit with hilarious Father’s Day card

He went on to say that people “demanded” he apologise – or leave his position on the show.

However, the Surrey-born presenter said that he refused to apologise and branded the move “hypocritical”.

He continued: “I thought there was hypocrisy, I thought there were downright lies coming out in the interview.”

Talking to Australian reporter Karl Stefanovic, the star said that his stance on doing his job ultimately cost him his GMB presenting role.

“I saw my job to hold them to account like I would to a government minister and for doing that, within 36 hours I had to leave the job”, Piers added.
