Piers Morgan fires back at Jack Whitehall after brutal Brit Awards jibe about GMB exit

Piers Morgan has made his feelings quite clear after he became the butt of the joke at the BRITs 2021. Host Jack Whitehall opened the show by remarking on the outspoken jounalist’s “empty diary”.

The 32-year-old was of course referring to the presenter’s sudden exit from Good Morning Britain in March.

The 56-year-old has now hit back in his latest column, saying “my diary’s never been busier”.

Piers made sure to point out the drop in viewing figures for the ceremony, held at London’s O2.

He also took a swipe at winners Little Mix and pointed out Jack was performing to a “near-empty” venue.

“I’ve just replaced 4.45am alarm calls and long, hard mornings at the GMB coalface with lazy lie-ins and long relaxing meals involving pals such as Gary Lineker, Amanda Holden and Dame Joan Collins.”

Piers went on to highlight the sitution at the BRITs, which welcomed thousands of frontline staff to watch.

He added in The Mail On Sunday: “Poor old Whitehall’s slaving away in near-empty, cavernous East London dungeons, enduring brain-cell-destroying chats with dim-witted pop stars and getting the show’s lowest-ever audience.

“Much more of that, Jackie boy, and your own diary might suddenly look emptier than Little Mix’s craniums….”
