Spilling some beans on the same, Pankaj told Navbharat Times, “During those days of struggle, Mridula was running the house. From house rent to basic necessities, she used to take care of everything.” He added that at the time he was just roaming on the streets of Mumbai asking for acting jobs.
Elaborating further, Tripathi added that now things have changed for good for him. Now, he meets filmmakers in parking lots and they offer him roles. Not only that, they ask him where he’s been and when he would listen to the narration.
Meanwhile, on the work front, he will next be seen in ‘Mimi’ co-starring Kriti Sanon and Sai Tamhankar in the lead role. The movie is all set to release on an OTT platform.
Apart from this, he is currently waiting for the release of Kabir Khan’s sports drama, ‘83’. The movie will have Ranveer Singh playing the role of Kapil Dev and Deepika Padukone essaying the role of his real-life wife Romi Dev. It also features actors like Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sadhu, Ammy Virk and others in key roles. It was supposed to hit the theatres last year. However, owing to the pandemic and the resulting lockdown, the film was pushed ahead. The makers are yet to announce the new release date.
