
Celebrated veteran actor Anthony Hopkins took home his second Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in ‘The Father’. He had previously won the trophy for his performance in ‘The Silence of the Lambs’. Anthony Hopkins personally didn’t pick up his trophy at the 93rd Academy Awards.
Frances McDormand bagged the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in ‘Nomadland’ at the 93
rd Academy Awards. Interestingly, this is also Frances McDormand’s second Best Actress Oscar! She had previously won the golden statuette in 2018 for ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’.

The 93rd Academy Awards were held at both the Dolby Theatre and Union Station. The ceremony is taking place two months later than originally planned. The nominations for the 93rd Academy Awards were announced on March 15 by Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. All nominees and guests had undergone a minimum of two COVID-19 tests and were not required to wear a face mask while the cameras are rolling.
