Marvel ushers in Phase 4 with sneak peeks from ‘Black Widow’, ‘Eternals’, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, and other superhero films – WATCH – Eagles Vine

‘What the future brings will be worth the wait,’ assures Marvel Studios in their new teaser that ushers in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The clip that dropped this evening gives us a recap of films like ‘The Avengers’ series, ‘Ant Man’, ‘Captain America’, ‘Doctor Strange’, ‘Black Panther’, ‘Captain Marvel’ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ before moving on to tease visuals from the upcoming superhero films.

Besides giving us a sneak peek into the Scarlett Johansson-led ‘Black Widow’, the video also gives us a look at all the action set to unfold in ‘Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings’.

Coming in as a major surprise was the release of the very first Eternals footage, revealing an initial look at the ensemble cast comprising of Angelina Jolie as Thena, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Richard Madden as Ikaris and Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo and Gemma Chan as Sersi in the Chloé Zhao directorial.

“We’re the ones who changed everything,” says Chan, who reportedly plays a major role in the upcoming film that is touted to be unlike any other Marvel superhero film to date.

The video was shared with a note that read, “The world may change and evolve, but the one thing that will never change: we’re all part of one big family.”

Phase 4 of the MCU kicks off with ‘Black Widow’ starring Scarlett, Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz and David Harbour. The film that was initially set to hit theatres screens in 2020, will now release on July 9, 2021. The film is set between the events of ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and ‘Avngers: Infinity War’. This film will reportedly set the ball rolling for the upcoming Marvel films, one including the first Asian superhero film ‘Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings’, set for a September 3, 2021 release.

This will be followed 2 months later with ‘Eternals’ that will hit screens on November 5, 2021 and will end the ear on a high with the Tom Holland-starrer ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ that will release on December 17, 2021.

The makers also booked their release calendar for 2022 and 2023 with Benedict Cumberbatch’s ‘Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness’ set for a March 25, 2022 release and Chris Hemsworth’s ‘Thor Love and Thunder’ slated for May 6, 2022, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ ready for a July 8, 2022 release, ‘The Marvels’ slated for a release on November 11, 2022.

‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania’ will kick off 2023 on a high with its release on February 17, 2023 and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ slated for a May 5, 2023 release.

The video ends with a logo of the upcoming official remake of ‘Fantastic Four’ that was released last December.
