Martin Roberts saved Homes Under The Hammer cameraman from standing on a buried needle

The ever-popular show started out in 2003 and it’s growing fan base is very evident, as Martin revealed that the property show boasted ratings higher than some of BBC’s top series put together.

“On one bank holiday, we were the most watched program throughout the entire day on BBC One,” he beamed, noting it had an estimated 36% audience share.

The host added: “It’s crazy! But here it still is and I’m really proud of it.

“There was this amazing research done by YouGov and we discovered – believe this or not – it’s more popular than Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders and Killing Eve combined!”

Homes Under The Hammer airs weekdays at 10am one BBC One.
