Louise Minchin: BBC Breakfast host supports Jo Whiley as she pulls out of BBC Radio 2 show

“People with learning difficulties are neglected. They haven’t got a voice, they haven’t got anybody there. Just badgering everybody saying, ‘What about me? Help me out here’.”

Meanwhile, it comes after Louise recently addressed her ankle injury and admitted it has become an even “bigger problem” for her.

The star injured her foot in 2019, while training for the Norseman triathlon.

She was forced to take some time away from the BBC Breakfast sofa in order to recover.

“I just thought I felt something rip at the time and I just thought, well, you know, I’m going to do what I what I do, which is ice it, pack it, wrap it, lift it, stop running for three weeks. And I did the Norseman,” Louise told Decathlon’s The Power of Ten Podcast.

BBC Breakfast airs daily on BBC One at 6am.
