Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan is opening up like never before about her life as a mom and a film star. In her new book, which is currently mired in controversy over its title, the actress is giving fans an intimate account of the ups and downs that come along with motherhood. Besides sharing her struggles during her pregnancy, she also opened up about being a working mom and the encouragement and support she received while getting back to work soon after welcoming her babies.

The star, who was lauded by many for diving back into work just months after welcoming her sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan, revealed the real inspiration for the same. She said that it was in fact her mother-in-law, Sharmila Tagore, who pushed her to get back to work as soon as possible. Not just her mom-in-law, but even hubby Saif Ali Khan proved to be a big help and support while contemplating her decision to return to the film sets.

An excerpt from her book reads, “My mother-in-law was also among the first to tell me that I had to keep working. Her advice was to do whatever I wanted but with confidence. She did some great work in the movies after her marriage and kids and was a real inspiration.”

Bebo also revealed that her mother, Babita was also a strong role model for her and that her dad Randhir also encouraged her to keep going. “I plunged headlong into not one but two pregnancies and I now have these two tots in my life who make every day feel a little crazy, a little special, a little exhausting, and a little rewarding,” the proud mom gushed.
