Kareena Kapoor Khan, who recently launched her new book, ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible’, spoke about her second pregnancy. During an Instagram live with Karan Johar, the new mommy revealed that her second pregnancy was not easy.

She welcomed her second baby, Jeh Ali Khan in February this year. Saif Ali Khan and Bebo welcomed Taimur in 2016. During their interaction, Bebo said that her first pregnancy was smooth but during Jeh, it was difficult.

She said, “This pregnancy was extremely difficult compared to Taimur’s, which was a breeze. I had loved it, enjoyed it and that gave me the courage to do it again. But this was different. I had bouts where I would sit down and think, ‘I don’t think I can do this, don’t think anything is going to be okay’.”

She further added, “It was Covid times. With all safety protocols, we managed to do a lot of shoots. It kept me alive, happy in times that were so difficult. There was this constant fear of what is going to happen, what if I get Covid, my child gets it. There was a lot of trauma in the last trimester mentally, of wanting to step out and do things but still…”

Meanwhile, Kareena is all set to make her debut as a producer. She has collaborated with Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms for an untitled venture. The movie will be directed by Hansal Mehta. She said in a statement, “Very honoured and excited to work as a producer on this film with Ekta whom my family has known for years and ofcourse to be directed by Hansal for the first time. I am a huge fan of Hansal’s films and to be working with him for the first time will be special. There are a lot of firsts on this film and I cannot wait to begin this journey.”

On the work front, Kareena will be seen in Aamir Khan starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. She also has Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’ in her kitty.
