Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mira Rajput and other Bollywood stars mourn IAF pilot Abhinav Choudhary’s death in MiG-21 jet crash – Eagles Vine ►

Squadron Leader Abhinav Chaudhary, a pilot of the Indian Air Force (IAF) lost his life on Thursday night after his MiG-21 fighter jet crashed in the fields of the Langeana Khurd village of Punjab’s Moga district. The aircraft was on a training sortie from Suratgarh in Rajasthan when it crashed.

While tributes poured in from all quarters, Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, sister Karisma Kapoor, fellow B-town star-wife Mira Rajput took to their respective social media handles to pay their respects.

Sharing a monochrome picture of Abhinav, Kareena wrote, ‘Rest in peace, Sqn Ldr Abhinav Choudhary. My deepest condolences to the family and the loved ones.’

Karisma also shared a post on her Instagram stories that read, ‘Deepest condolences to your family and loved ones’.

Mira Rajput also offered her prayers and support to the pilot’s grieving family in a note that read, ‘A brave young warrior lost. RIP IAF Squadron Leader Abhinav Chaudhary. Condolences and prayers to his family and loved ones’.

On Friday morning, IAF tweeted, “There was an aircraft accident last night involving a Bison aircraft of IAF in the western sector. The pilot, Sqn Ldr Abhinav Choudhary, sustained fatal injuries. IAF condoles the tragic loss and stands firmly with the bereaved family.”

The pilot’s body was found about 2 km from the crash site, nearly four hours after the crash at around 11 pm.

The IAF has ordered a court of inquiry to ascertain the cause of the accident.
