Emmerdale actor Jeff Hordley, 50, shut down ITV’s Loose Women presenter Nadia Sawalha, 56, after she called him a “sex symbol” and a “sexy beast thing”. Surprised by the bold claim, the Cain Dingle star quickly shot down the suggestion from the former EastEnders star, by arguing that his grandmother thinks he looks “old”.
Appearing on the panel with co-presenters Stacey Soloman, Judi Love and Kaye Adams, the former Absolutely Fabulous star told the soap favourite exactly what she thought of him.
Nadia said: “I was just remembering the early days when you were in it and God, blimey, I mean that whole bad boy, hot pot, sexy beast thing.
“I mean, I think he’s still got it, even when he gets nicer, don’t you think?” she asked her co-hosts and Emmerdale guest.
Seemingly embarrassed by the remark, Jeff stammered before saying: “Well, I don’t know how to answer that.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Nadia continued: “I was going back to your leather jacket… You are a sex symbol, you’ve carried us through.”
However, this time the actor swiftly shut down any claim to the title by bringing in an opinion from a family member.
Jeff said; “Well, I’ll tell you what, not according to my nan – I rang my nan,” before cutting himself off.
“I do want to say hello to my nan, nan I love you, I miss you, I’ve not seen her for a year.”
“I went, ‘I know nan,’ and she went, ‘Oh, you do look old’.”
Jeff married his childhood sweetheart Zoe Henry in 2003 and the couple have two children together, Violet and Stan.
Nadia’s comment comes days after she revealed that she’s not expecting to receive an invite to her co-presenter, Stacey Soloman’s wedding to Joe Swash.
Referring to the government regulations surrounding weddings, the Loose Women presenter said that she understood the problem the soon to be bride faced with having a large family and only being allowed a certain amount of people.
Stacey has already revealed in Q&A with fans that she’s hoping to get hitched at the end of summer.
