Jackie Shroff: Social media ka zamaana hai and everybody has an opinion – Eagles Vine

Today, their image on social media has become as important for actors as their on-screen performances. It allows them to interact directly with the audience and has become a yardstick to gauge their popularity. But, on the other hand, it also exposes them to a lot of negativity, comparisons and judgments. The situation gets even more distasteful when family members, especially children, are targeted. Recently, we asked Jackie Shroff about how he deals with social media outrage, especially when his children – Tiger and Krishna – are at the receiving end. The actor said that he seldom loses his cool.

He further added, “I take it the way my kids take it.

The senior actor is proud of his son and the latter’s dedication towards his work. In an interview with BT, Jackie, who featured with Tiger in ‘Baaghi 3’ (2020), had told us, “I was amazed to see Tiger’s sincerity towards his work. Then I realised that it requires a lot of discipline and control over one’s mind to do what he does on screen — challenging stunts, emotional scenes… I also realised that he has become a fabulous actor, dancer and fighter. Children love him. In fact, their mothers address me as Tiger and Krishna’s father. It gives me so much pride. I have my own identity, but to be known by my kids’ names is a different high.”
