#FreeBritney: Rhea Chakraborty comes out in support of Britney Spears – Eagles Vine

Actress Rhea Chakraborty has come out to voice her support for Pop Icon Britney Spears amid her ongoing conservatorship battle.

Rhea took to her Instagram stories to join the growing chorus of fans and friends demanding to “Free Britney.”


Rhea’s was among the many celebs who took to social media to stand in support of Britney who has been under conservatorship for 13 years. She was placed under the legal guardianship in February 2008 after she suffered a public breakdown amid her divorce from Kevin Federline, with whom she shares sons Preston and Jayden.

Hollywood Celebrities, members of the music fraternity, firends in the industry have come out strongly in support of Spears, after her bombshell testimony in court to end her conservatorship.

Appearing before Judge Brenda Penny, Britney said, “I’ve lied and told the whole world I’m OK and I’m happy. It’s a lie. I’ve been in denial.”

The songstress’s ex-boyfriend, actor and singer Justin Timberlake took to his Twitter handle to support her saying, “After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time. Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was… what’s happening to her is just not right. No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body. No one should EVER be held against their will… or ever have to ask permission to access everything they’ve worked so hard for. Jess and I send our love, and our absolute support to Britney during this time. We hope the courts, and her family make this right and let her live however she wants to live.”

Joining the #FreeBritney campaign, were director Rose McGowan tweeted, superstar Mariah Carey who tweeted, “We love you Britney!!! Stay strong.”
