Salman began shooting his extended cameo on Thursday, 25th February, and ETimes was the first to get the exclusive shots.

According to reports, the team behind ‘Pathan’ is looking forward to creating a spy universe, similar to the Avengers franchise that will see characters from popular franchises like ‘Tiger’ and ‘WAR’ cross over into ‘Pathan’. Besides Salman, rumours were rife that Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff would also join the star-cast.

After wrapping up work on ‘Pathan’, Salman will soon begin work on the third part of the ‘Tiger’ franchise. The actor was joined by his co-stars, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi for a puja ceremony before commencing work on the film.

The movie is slated to begin filming on March 8 in Mumbai. Director Maneesh Sharma, who is helming this film, also attended the puja. An eyewitness revealed, “Salman had come to YRF to shoot for Pathan with Shah Rukh Khan yesterday. As we all know YRF is creating the biggest spy franchise in the history of Indian cinema, and SRK and Salman will appear in each other’s films. Since Salman was coming to the studio, the team planned the puja on the same day and also invited Katrina for the same. Maneesh and Emraan too was a part of this puja.”

Although several films have announced their tentative release dates, fans are still waiting for SRK to make his big announcement. Citing that several other films have already booked extended holiday weekends, trade experts suspect that ‘Pathan’ which marks the end of SRK’s sabbatical, will release in 2022.
