In the second picture, Vidya is seen looking simply stunning in a salwar kameez with a printed dupatta. Her open tresses compliment her overall look. The pictures are sure to make her fans get all excited for her upcoming films.

In an earlier interview with a news portal, Vidya had opened up about patriarchy in our society and how women are both victims as well as perpetrators of the same. Spilling some beans on the same, the actress reportedly said that a lot of times when we talk about sexism or the patriarchal mindset, it is the preserve of men, but that is not true.

According to her, the mindset is so deeply ingrained in us that unconsciously we are also living it. So, she feels women are as much victims as they are perpetrators of patriarchy.

Elaborating more on the same, Vidya added that sometimes, she catches herself judging a woman more harshly than a man. The actress also went on to say that as a woman she often caught herself being sexist. According to Vidya, we are happier to pronounce judgement on others and make men the enemy. However, she added that we have to realise that sometimes we are our own enemy.

On the work front, she was last seen in ‘Sherni’ for which she garnered positive reviews from the audience and the critics alike.
