The meaning of Deepika is light. The word Prakash, which is derived from the Sanskrit word prakāśa, means bright light. Ujjala, on the other hand, means bright or filling something with light. And Anisha means light that cuts darkness. Now, isn’t that interesting?

Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika is currently the busiest actress in B-town. She has some very interesting films in her kitty which includes Siddharth Anand’s two big projects. One is ‘Pathan’ which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in lead roles. Second one is ‘Fighter’ where she will be seen sharing the screen space with none other than Hrithik Roshan in the lead role for the first time.

The actress will also be seen in the official Hindi remake of the Hollywood film, ‘The Intern’. The film earlier was supposed to star Rishi Kapoor in the lead role. However, after his sudden demise, his place is being filled by Amitabh Bachchan.

Deepika is also awaiting the release of Kabir Khan’s ‘83’ which stars Ranveer Singh in the role of cricketer Kapil Dev. She is also reportedly co-producing the movie.
