Cardi B is getting real about her skincare struggles.
After revealing she suffers from “uncomfortable” acne, the 28-year-old “WAP” rapper turned to her Twitter followers for advice.
“I been breaking out lately and my face is extremely dry. I don’t think these products are working. I think it’s the water out here … What are some good products for little black heads break outs and dry skin on your face?” she tweeted on Monday.
Cardi also shared a photo of a breakout on her cheek, writing, “It’s been happening for like 3 months now … S—t really is uncomfortable.”
As countless product recommendations poured in, the “Money” rapper told fans that she’d already tried a number of over-the-counter remedies. Of popular brand Cetaphil, she wrote, My mom love [that] s—t …I don’t really like it I don’t feel like it cleans my face right,” adding that CeraVe‘s products “really don’t work for me.”
When one of her followers suggested she consult a dermatologist, Cardi replied that she’d already gone that route, too.
“[They] gave me some s—t that dried my face more and make me get more [pores]” she explained. “[They] said it will take 3 months but I don’t got time for that and didn’t give me a reason on why I’m breaking out. I never broke out on my cheeks and chin.”
Despite her disappointing experience, the rapper said she wants to give professional help another try to “get to the root of the problem.”
Thanks to fellow musician Kehlani, it seems relief may be in sight for Cardi.
“Ok @Kehlani recommended me somebody for my face…Imma give ya a update in 2 weeks…” she wrote.
Cardi B isn’t the only star to struggle with breakouts, as both Keke Palmer and “The Undoing” star Matilda De Angelis recently opened up about their own experiences with acne.
