According to a report in a news portal, director Ayan Mukerji had almost completed filming the superhero drama, in keeping with the December 4 release date. While he utilised the lockdown to speed up the VFX work and editing, a small portion remains to be shot.
The report also added that the production design team has a week to build the set in a Mumbai studio before Ayan begins shooting on February 18. The young filmmaker has also chalked out a week-long stint with the leads, post which it will be a wrap for the project.
The fantasy drama also features Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in key roles. The film was supposed to hit the theatres last year in December. However, it was pushed ahead due to the pandemic and the resulting lockdown. This will be the first time Ranbir and Alia will be seen sharing the screen space in a film.
Apart from this, while Alia has films like, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, ‘RRR’ and ‘Takht’ in her kitty, Ranbir has ‘Animal’ and ‘Luv Ranjan’s next.
