Amanda Holden speaks on relationship with dad as fans are left confused over his identity

Amanda Holden, 50, has shared a very sweet snap on Father’s Day of her beloved stepfather Leslie Collistor, 75, who took her in when she was just four years old. However, some fans of the Britain’s Got Talent judge were left confused after they mistook her dad for another celebrity.

Amanda typed: “#happyfathersday to this wonderful man who took me and my sister aged 4 & 5 into his heart and loved us…

“Love you right back #Daddy.” (sic)

“You two are so cute,” commented one person, clearly touched by the photo.

“Ah this is lovely,” added someone else.

“He would leave home for hours at a time, often staying out all night and returning drunk the next day.”

Amanda was reported to police for travelling 215 miles to see her mother Judith Mary Harrison, 71 and Leslie during the most recent coronavirus lockdown.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge said she had received a “distressing phone call” from her stepdad.

She arrived to see her parents after travelling from her home in Richmond Upon Thames, Surrey.
